Recent Award Highlights
Art of Photography Show 2011. Received Honorable Mention Award and selected by juror Anne Lyden (J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles) from among 15,444 entries from 72 countires for inclusion in an exhibit at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery in San Diego, California.
Best of Photography 2011 (Photographer's Forum magazine). Received Honorable Mention Award and selected from among more than 14,000 entires from 92 countires for inclusion in Best of Photography 2011 online exhibition and hardcover book (available in bookstores in December).
Black and White Juried Exhibition. Two prints selected for online and gallery exhibition and received "Curator's Award for Best Artist" at the Linus Gallery in LA (Long Beach), California.
Camera USA: National Photography Award. Selected by juror Harry Benson (Scotland) for inclusion in a juried exhibition of 52 photographs from 17 states at the Frederick O. Watson gallery in the Von Liebig Art Center in Naples, Florida.
Center for Photographic Art. Selected as one of 41 winners from among 1,400 entries by jurors Brian Taylor (Chair, San Jose State Art Depertment) and Bryan Yedinak (Modernbrook Gallery, San Francisco) for exhibit in Carmel, California.
Devil's Lake State Park Centenial Photgraphy Contest. Received two First Place Awards in Vista/Landscape and Activities categories.
Landscape: Beyond the Mundane (Chasing the Light). Selected by jurors Tom and Therisa Stack (Florida-based National Geographic photographers) to be among 25 images featured in online gallery and submitted to more than 1,200 photo editors and art directors.
The Pollux Awards (Worldwide Photography Gala Awards). Received awards for landscape (single image) and nature portfolio. Selected by juror Philip Brookman (Washington, D.C.) from among 18,912 entries from 65 countries. Exhibited at WPGA Gallery in London, England.
Photography Masters Cup (London, England). Nominated in the Still Life category from among more than 13,000 entries.
Prix de la Photographie Paris (Px3). Received seven awards for landscape, landscape portfolio and nature plus one “special selection” for fine art landscape by international jurors selected from more than 4,000 entries from 72 countries. Exhibited at Espace Dupon, Paris.
Royal Photographic Society (Bath, England). One of only five photographers from the US accepted for the 155th International Print Exhibition which will tour the world from July, 2012 through May, 2013.
Sony World Photography Awards (World Photography Organisation, London). Selected one of Top 50 landscape images in the world from among more than 58,000 entries. Published in a book and also featured in an exhibit during the World Photography Festival in the Embankment Gallery at Somerset House in London, England.
